The KRÖNING horizontal flow-wrapping machine is characterized by its compact design and easy accessibility.

The tampons are taken from the upstream machine by tappets on the indexing chain and fed individually to the folding jaw module. The tubular bag film and an optional tear strip are conveyed to the folding module below the indexing chain and wrapped around the tampon by the forming shoulders. The tubular bag is then closed first above the product and then lengthwise by means of heated sealing rollers. Finally, a cutting roller separates the tubular bags between the products and the tampons are discharged. A sensor detects faulty products and blows them into a collecting container.
